Tim explains, when it comes to his designs; ' the process develops over time'. This approach has made his work popular with Yamamoto, private collectors, interior designers, museums such as the National Museum of Scotland, as well as architects Munkenbeck and Marshall. He uses only the best timber he can lay his hands on, knowing that good timber, which is exquisite, is a rarity. His style is elemental, focusing predominantly on form - he finds that there is something sensuous about the simple geometry of his work. He is your man...if you want beautiful tables, chairs, chaise longues and other individual, free-standing piece... He is predominantly word-of-mouth, retaining faithful clients. His designs and craftsmanship are impressive, bearing in mind that he is self-taught.
"I was introduced to Tim Hine through the architect Alfred Munkenbeck. He made me a highly architectural dining-room table, which has now been recommissioned by several of my friends. He cares deeply about his work"
